Clinton County PA Substance Abuse Coalition formed to address the opioid epidemic in our community. The coalition, works to facilitate connections with agencies and communities and to create initiatives to address the crisis. The coalition meets to focus on prevention, treatment, recovery, law enforcement, communications and data collection. A variety of new programs, interventions and strategies have been created as a result of the coalition, including: Increased access to Naloxone, a non-addictive medication that reverses opioid overdoses Ensure that all residents of Clinton County are well-informed on overdose signs of a Substance/Opioid Use Disorder (SUD/OUD), treatment options, and recovery programs available throughout the community with the purpose of eliminating stigma throughout the county. Empower professionals to promote the health, safety, and well-being of persons at high risk for an overdose and/or with SUD/OUD or an active addition. Ensure that every person in Clinton County has access to treatment at the appropriate level of care, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and any special needs associated with their care. Decrease the supply of illicit opioids in Clinton County. Increase coordination between county agencies, bridging the gap between public safety and public health services to create a methodical, patient first system in Clinton County.

Clinton County PA West Branch Drug & Alcohol Abuse Commission is a private, non-profit human service agency committed to helping people find their way to recovery since 1974. We are committed to advocating for those we serve and do all we can to provide them with the tools they need to overcome their challenges. All our services are kept strictly confidential to ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals we care for. The Commission serves as the Single County Authority (SCA). The Commission is responsible for facilitating the provision of a comprehensive and balanced continuum of care of quality substance abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment services for Lycoming and Clinton County residents. The Commission seeks to reduce the addiction, alleviate its effect and ultimately eliminate the abuse and misuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
