Cumberland-Perry Pennsylvania Drug & Alcohol Commission Our mission is to ensure that a full continuum of quality substance abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment services is available to all eligible Cumberland and Perry County residents. No one person, agency or community can accomplish this task alone, so our substance abuse prevention services are developed with input from our local communities. We partner with schools, community organizations, and other prevention providers to offer what we hope is a fairly comprehensive plan to promote health in our area. We are focusing on reducing three risk factors in Cumberland and Perry Counties in Pennsylvania Availability of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in the community Favorable attitudes toward alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, and Family management problems.

Perry County PA Capital Area Behavioral Health Collaborative Perry County, whose county seat is New Bloomfield, is located northeast of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Its eastern boundary is the Susquehanna River. It is organized as a Seventh Class County and governed by a board of three county commissioners last elected in 2007. Perry County operates its Mental Health, Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (MH.IDD) Program under a joinder with Cumberland County. Drug and Alcohol services are also provided through a joinder with both Counties cooperating in the designation of the Cumberland/Perry Drug and Alcohol Commission as the “Single County Authority” (SCA) for state law purposes.
